The first triathlon club geared for the religious Jewish community

Coaches
Chaim Backman is a Brooklyn, NY based physical therapist. A long time runner, he completed the Yonker's Marathon in '05 and the Philadelphia Marathon in '06 and '09 as well as the world famous NYC marathon in '08. In 2007, he completed the NYC Triathlon as a member of the Team One Family team, that helped raise money for victims of terrorist attacks in Israel. He did first full Ironman; Lake Placid Ironman in July '10 with a finishing time of 14:29.  He has completed many shorter races and duathlons, many of them right here in Prospect Park. Chaim has helped many people in their quest to start running, biking and swimming. He has coached many local and out of state charity teams and helped them all prepare and complete length races. Chaim completed the USAT triathlon coaching course, Level I, in January 2009 and is now a certified triathlon coach. He was featured in many articles in various Jewish and PT magazines. Chaim can often be found out on the road, enjoying a  late night run throughout the NYC area.


David Roher is a USAT certified Triathlon coach and a veteran of over 25 triathlons (including 2 Ironman races). He did his first tri at the age of 38, having never done a race before before. David's approach to training includes an emphasis injury prevention and pain management. As a veteran special ed. teacher, David has motivated teens to reach beyond what they though was possible. David lives in Teaneck NJ with his wife and two sons.

Rivkah Bronchtain is a certified personal trainer and fitness instructor. She has been training clients for over 4 years. She recently got married and  moved to Brooklyn from Montreal, Canada. She has a very diverse background,  having trained clients in various settings, ranging from the Montreal Y, to private gyms as well as in the home setting. Some of her clients have gone on to run or dive competitively, including a member of the Canadian Olympic diving team. Rivkah's goal is to help her clients reach their maximum fitness level with in the constraints of their other life activities and  obligations.
Rivka completed her studies and training at CEGEP Marie-Victorin, and also specializes in: kick boxing, step, aerobics and spinning training. She also holds a CALA(aquafitness) certification.

MOISHE GUTLEIZER has been a personal trainer for over 6 years. He is currently certified by the American Council on Exercise. In addition to having personally been involved with all areas of fitness, such as cardio and weight-lifting for over 10 years, Moishe has helped guide many individuals on the road to better health. He specializes in weight management issues by  combining both healthy nutrition, supplements and exercise, while taking in account any age or health factors that may exist. Moishe believes that exercise is an integral part of life and he helps every individual customize their exercise routine to fit in accordance with their lifestyle.

Sarah Wenk has been a personal trainer for eight years. She is certified by the Americian Council on Exercise and has supplemental certifications in pre and post natal training, facilitated stretching and weight loss. She is also a graduate of the Institute of Integrated Nutrition and is certified as a Holistic Health Counselor. She has participated in many road races and triathlons and coaches beginning runners in Brooklyn. Sarah believes that fitness is an integral part of life, and specializes in helping people fit exercise in to busy schedules, with great results.
